Arline McGraw Oberst is a professional speaker, trainer and author. She has been a spokesperson for Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey for more than five years. Educating the population of New Jersey on how to prevent child abuse in all its forms has become a passion for her.
While working with volunteers at Prevent Child Abuse-New Jersey, she noticed that stories about volunteers read more like a report to the media than a true experience. Arline is an avid reader of inspirational stories and quotes, and she wanted to create a book that was filled with the heart and soul of volunteering.
In 1997, Arline began her own training and consulting company, Lifetime Resources for Women, Inc. She developed programs modeled after Jack Canfield's work on self-esteem. She is a member of the National Speakers Association and GreatWomenSpeakers.com.
Arline has always been a volunteer in her community of Essex County, volunteering for her church, homeschool association, political campaigns and service clubs. She continues in whatever way possible to serve others. Recently, Arline volunteered her speaking expertise as the keynote speaker at the New Jersey Governor's Conference on Volunteerism.
Arline has been married for more than forty years to her high-school sweetheart, Russell. They have two wonderful adult children, Russ Jr., who resides in Toms River, New Jersey, and Donna Jean Hanning of Virginia Beach, Virginia. Both Donna and Russ Jr. are very active in volunteering.
