Jaye Andras Caffrey is a Louisiana tax lawyer, online columnist for MDNews, poet, mother, and writer. In February 2006, New Orleans City Business recognized her as a "Woman of the Year." She is presently completing a master's degree in fine arts with emphasis in creative fiction at the University of New Orleans, Louisiana. Despite her achievements, her childhood was saddened by an undiagnosed attention deficit disorder. A voracious reader and incessant daydreamer as a child, she often felt lonely and confused. Since her diagnosis at the age of thirty-one, she has found new ways to deal with the distractibility, disorganization, and loneliness once so evident in her life.
